Welcome to the ResponScale Project!
Responsible scaling of data-driven approaches for enhancing mental healthcare
The KIA Health and Care includes urgent missions in mental healthcare. There is a demand for increasing accessibility of healthcare by better capacity management, and for more personalized diagnosis and treatment. Much is expected from digital innovation to advance these missions. However, scaling of digital technology is problematic: innovations need to align to organization-specific contexts, making one-size-fits-all diffusion impossible; potential ethical, legal and social issues should be considered; institutionalized pathways for scaling are often missing.
The Mission of ResponScale
The project seeks to develop methods for responsible scaling inspired by key enabling methods like participatory action research and co-creation. Together with the involved stakeholders, the proposal applies and validates the methods in two cases in mental healthcare on personalized treatment and capacity management. We aim to learn from the cases to understand similarities and differences in how methods can be successfully used. A responsible scaling toolkit is created which – accompanied with training material – seeks wider societal and economic relevance for scaling digital innovation in mental healthcare and beyond.
